Walmart vs. Amazon and the scam heard round the world!

Just to let you know Walmart is blaming all the people who priced matched Amazon as taking advantage of them.  They told me that no one would expect them to honor what they earlier said. Which, was that they would price match Amazon, and I feel I must agree that since they said nothing at the beginning about third parties that they should keep their word. I went into price match only because someone else asked me to.

My children are quite contend with Sams club soda, but a good deal is a good deal.  But in one of my groups as women had done just that, she priced matched Amazon with Walmart, the 24 pack of Dr. Pepper cans were being sold on Amazon for a penny.  That is a great deal before shipping.  Many people did get it to work for them before Walmart cut them off.  Now do I think it is unfair for them to have gotten almost free soda, no not at all.  Walmart opened the door and did not think the whole process through, that is not the customers fault, but Walmarts fault.

Walmart higher ranking employees brought up that one would have to pay almost $30.00 dollars shipping so it was not technically a penny. While this is true and I most assuredly understand their point, I spend money on gas to get to the Walmart Super Center which is an hour from my door.  So for me it would have been a broken even moment at best. Rationally Walmart should have given this a lot more thought!

What came out of all this, a great understanding of how customers should and should not be treated and that many of these types of events are scams in general.  I say this as they continued to explain to me that for the most part they really will not match anything if they are going to lose money on but that each manager could decide if they wanted to price match or not.

Now my Walmart in Thayer, Mo. is as good as gold, never had a problem, but the larger stores they are not going to do it.  It was clearly explained to me that they don't have to, and anyone who does price matching is taking advantage of them.  So buyer beware with Walmart or any big chain store that tells you they will match prices.

Beware also of their black Friday sales, a few minutes shopping on the net could land you a better deal with much less stress, plus this is a time to spend with your family, so consider skipping the "Black Friday" week long nightmare and enjoy one another's company instead.

Chemical trespass...

There are few things in life that make me anger than when a company like North Arkansas Electric Coop does not take responsibility for its actions.  Almost a year after they chemically trespassed on our once organic farm, they have not made restitution, they have not formally apologized even.  What Mel who runs the local office of North Arkansas Electric, told me he was sorry that they sprayed my little garden.  My farm provides organically grown food for my family and many others, it helps us to reduce our foot print on the planet.

I found it interesting that this month in their magazine they talked about organic farming...what a laugh, they are spaying peoples land with Round up and four other of its cousins, through a highered hand company called Asplundh.  Who after finding out the land tested positive for these chemicals, offered us less money, saying it was only in one area.  I wonder how they could not understand what they have done or what it has cost us, both spiritual and financially.

Perhaps some one will take notice and prevent these things from happening to their land.  Maybe out hardship can be not only a warning, but a call for change.

The continuation of the settlement offer...is that they told me things, I told them things; they expressed how they were going to do what they wanted; I told them no you’re not.  They tried to intimidate me into a settlement.  I explained to them that I understand the law.  I not only read it, I digested it.  Taking it into my being.  It is my land, not their property!  They tried to tell me that after 8 years, they could do what they wanted with my ground.   I said, well that will not help you, as in Nov of this past year I told your people to get off my property, and that we would maintain it from here on out.  You were notified.  It was not me who broke the rules; it was you!  You did not send a letter asking permission; you did not knock on my door.  What you did is called a chemical trespass, it is illegal.  The $2500. you offered me is disgusting, the act alone shows you lack of morals or proper judgment.  You offered me $6000, and I was offended then.  You think it is reasonable to give me less because a test you did a month later.  Never mind the tons of rain, and my fast acting husband having washed the toxin into the road. The analysis showed true in only one place.  You said; let us remove the soil, and the tree, sorry dude that does not return me to organic.  I must wait three years for that. I told them I will lose $15, 000. over the next three years.  He said, so you will take no less than $15, 000. I am open to negotiation.  It was then he offered me the $2500. 

I told them to leave, all hell broke loose.  They informed me how I could not use my tapes in court, and how expensive it would be to take them to court. I snapped...you do not know me, or what I own, even though I did notice you standing at my screen door looking in my house, you did not knock or make yourself know.   You told me again that you were good upstanding people.  You did this while saying I was not, slander...at the end, they told me that their insurance company would be in touch, but not without offending my G-d, my farm and my choice of how to live.  I do not live in a palace; I could if I wanted to.  I chose this farm, and this property!  I could choose to surround myself with lots of rich and famous friends.  I would rather the few dear ones that I love.  You think I am poor because I live in an old house and my pastures grow tall, I tell you I am rich!  I do not need a new car to prove my worth, nor is expensive house, my worth in my value to my fellow man.  It is the protection of my children, my livestock and my home, and the plants and soil that my value can be seen.  Do not let me thriftiness fool you into thinking, that I am without means.

Next no one gets to tell me what they are going to do on my land, and no one gets to talk down to me because I am a women.  When I tell you to leave you do not get to tell me how small I am; how I have nothing.  How much it would cost to fight you!  My G-d is the G-d of impossible; he took me from slavery to freedom.  He walked me through the desert of the world, feeding me, keeping shoes upon my feet, clothes upon my back.  I came to this land that he gave to me, and to my descendants.  It is you who have nothing, because you are nothing; you are small, and I denounce you.  You think I am dirt because I am a Jew, well this Jew will pray to her G-d, and for you, you will need all the help you can get.  Your mothers should wash your mouths out for talking to a lady like that.  I will make sure you do not do this to anyone else.  It is not man that gives me strength; your words are powerless to me, for it is G-d that strengthens me. 

I will declare to all of you who are reading this, stand up for yourselves, do not allow the world, and it’s evil ways beat you down.  Do not become like these people, uncaring, cruel and inhuman.  When your wealth is gone, what will you have left, will you still praise he who created you, or will you be like these men.  For when the time comes they will say G-d has left us. 

I know G-d stands where I stand.

How to fix the buget....

Afghanistan $9.1 billion or more is given to help the Afghanistan women.

US government senators and congress people need to buy their own health care, a slim 2 million plus a year, but they have their own pharmacy as well, let them use Wal-mart, we will save even more….Plus just think we pay this for them for their whole lives….

And the Congressional perks don’t stop with the FEHBP. According to the article “Health care as good as Congress gets,” by John Barry, a staff writer for the St. Petersburg Times, “Members of Congress have their own pharmacy, right in the Capitol. They also have a team of doctors, technicians and nurses standing by in case something busts in a filibuster. They can get a physical exam, an X-ray or an electrocardiogram, without leaving work.” 

Come on really….

Ok so that is like only a small portion, but check this out. I pulled this from the governments own papers.  CRS estimates that Iraq will receive about $751 billion, let’s not!  Let’s just bring our kids home.  Let’s look at some more of this…it is from their own papers and figures. 

On July 27, 2010, Congress passed H.R. 4899/P.L. 111-212, the FY2010 Supplemental request and

provided an additional $34.4 billion in war funding for DOD and the State Department, largely to

cover the cost of deploying 30,000 additional troops to Afghanistan that President Obama announced

on December 1, 2009 and to ramp up foreign aid levels in both Iraq and Afghanistan..

With passage of the FY2010 supplemental, cumulative war funding totals $1.12 trillion including

$751 billion for Iraq, $336 billion for Afghanistan, and $29 billion for enhanced security. In FY2010,

Afghanistan receives about 60% of the total and Iraq 40%, a reversal of the previous year.

The $171 billion received in FY2010 is the same as the amount requested for FY2011 while average

troop strength for both wars is due to fall from 185,000 to 145,000, a 20% drop. Average strength in

Iraq would fall from 100,000 in FY2010 to 43,000 in FY2011 while strength in Afghanistan would

grow from 84,000 in FY2010 to 98,000 in FY2011. The final withdrawal from Iraq is slated to be

complete by December 2011, the end of the first quarter of FY2012, as required by the U.S.-Iraq Security Agreement.

Problem solved no money needs to come out of social security, in fact we need to pay back all the money you as the government has taken out.  We do not need to starve American women or children, rob college students of an education.  Remove medical care from anyone, cut school programs. 

Some other things you can do to make, us the American People happy!   Tax the rich!  Quit taxing small family farms to death, tax the big farms and do away with their loop holes.  Tax corporate America and the oil companies…make them clean up their mess; none of the rest of us think it is fair.  Quit you lying and low down ways…make us the America we can be and the America we should be.

FedEx and service some where

Would you believe FedEx who has been to my house three time in this past month could not find my house again. To add insult to injury instead of calling to get directions they sent me a post card. So by now they have had this package for at least since before Christmas.

So as I was saying I get this card, on Saturday and call the local FedEx office which is a 3 hour drive from my house ( Jonesburo) and get a lady on the phone who says of we can redeliver it on Wednesday just tell us how to get here. I swear I could have feel on the floor, "Well I said, you have had 2 different drivers out here, just this month for a total of 2 drop offs one pick up. One guy was a colored man (My choice of words pissed her off, little does she know that I am a colored person), and a white guy ( that part does not piss her off, lol). Any way I continue to explain to her that either they did not want to deliver because of the flag out side my door (confederate flag, with chief Joseph on it) and because we live in a all white community or because we are in the middle of no where and he was just to lazy to make the delivery before the holidays...In other words he did not want to work late. Well I can tell you that this did not go over well, as she presided to tell me what she could not and would not do and how there was just no way in hell I was getting this box before Wednesday.

Then she told me how I had offended her by using the term colored man...I swear I could have rolled my eyes back into my head...This one goes into my file of ridicules titles. How does she know where this guys family is from or that he is African American..hummmm Maybe she is making a derogatory term her self. My Fathers Dad is a Black French Man, that does not make me a African American, it makes me part black....So I told her that she and her company fricken offended me by not delivering this package in a timely manner. Again I wonder why she was not offended by there term white man...It seem to me people like this create there own problems by picking humanity apart and name every little facet of it... Anyway by this time she had hung up...

So I called the 1-800 FexEx number and explained what was going on ..He said he was going to call the station her in Arkansas and fix this...But after 10 minutes of waiting for him the line went dead...Dropped my call, hmmmmm

So I call again got a different guy..She says once again rolling her eyes....He precedes to tell me of why and how I could not have talked to any one because no one works on Saturday as he continues talk on Saturday.
I told him look I really don't have time for this, please add to you file my cell number so that the last person I spoke with can get back to me....Uggggh...And that is all that happened....I will call Tuesday and see if I can fix this mess and I will let all of you know then....But if you are using FedEx and you are expecting good customer service you may want to reconsider and maybe send your package through the U.S. Postal Service...We all know what to expect from them and almost all of the time they are cheaper and they always can find the address thanks to RFD ( Rural Free Delivery).

Would you believe

Would you believe that while Shopping at Walmart I learned that you must be 18 years old to buy goop hand cleaner but you can be any age to buy a five gallon gasoline can.
I myself had a real problem with this, just think all this time I have been telling my kids to wash there hands only to find out they may not be able to buy soap till they are 18 years old, however they may buy a empty gas can and fill it with gas and no one bats an eye...Please some one out there tell me what's wrong with us that we find this acceptable.

Why in the world do you have to be 18 to buy hand cleaner?

Why are we not asking some one to be 18years old to buy gas or a gas can. I am more worried about some kid going in and buying a five gallon gas can and filling it and than burning something down.

I think this is a huge problem when we don't ask things like would you believe...and this my friends qualifies as a "would you believe" If I have ever heard one. So please feel free to let me know what you think. Also if you get a chance go to your local Walmart and check it out and you will see for yourself how this all works out.
